Meet the Doctor
Dr. Tyler Parsons is a nationally recognized dentist and owner of Bright Star Dental in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In 2026, he was selected by Incisal Edge magazine as one of America’s 40 Under 40, an annual recognition of rising leaders in dentistry chosen for their clinical excellence, innovation, leadership and contributions to the profession. Dr. Parsons is also a multi-year national honoree on the America’s Best Dentists list, earning recognition in both 2025 and 2026.
With more than 13 years in the dental field, Dr. Parsons has built his career around advanced comprehensive, cosmetic and implant dentistry. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine at the top of his clinical class and was selected for the school’s highly competitive Honors Prosthetics Program, available to approximately 3% of students, where he received advanced training in crowns, bridges, veneers and complex restorative dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Parsons served as a dentist in the U.S. Army, receiving advanced training in oral surgery, dental implants, clear aligners and sedation dentistry. During his military service, he was appointed officer in charge of a 28-operatory dental clinic serving thousands of soldiers, giving him extensive experience in both advanced clinical dentistry and healthcare leadership.
Dr. Parsons has continued to pursue advanced education throughout his career, completing additional training in implant dentistry, clear aligner therapy and dental sleep medicine. His clinical focus today includes advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, digital workflows and aesthetic rehabilitation. At Bright Star Dental, he incorporates technologies such as CEREC same-day crowns, advanced digital scanning, lasers, and guided implant placement to provide precise, efficient and minimally invasive treatment. His work and clinical approach were specifically highlighted by Incisal Edge in naming him to its 2026 40 Under 40 class.
Despite the awards and advanced training, Dr. Parsons believes the most important part of dentistry remains the relationship between doctor and patient. As a father of five, he has learned to lend an empathetic ear, extend compassion, and teach more clearly.
